How to choose a Reliable Power Bank or portable charger
As a long term manufacturer of power charger, we'd like to share our opinions with our customers about how to choose a reliable power charge, and what's the status of our power. Following are for your reference:
Capacity:
The capacity of a power bank determines how much power it can store. It is typically measured in milliampere-hours (mAh) or watt-hours (Wh). You can find it on the covers of each power bank like 10000mAh, 20000mAh, 30000mAh etc. Keep in mind that the actual usable capacity will be slightly lower due to energy losses during charging.
e.g. : parameters on our model: PB165K
Portability:
If you frequently travel or need a power bank for daily commutes, we suggest to buy a compact and lightweight design that easily fits in your pocket or bag.
e.g. : pocket size of our RSQ3-A
Number of Ports and Output:
Obviously multiple output ports allow you to charge multiple devices simultaneously. For the input ports, current designs is normally with Micro USB, or type-C, few models is equipped with Lightning ports, which convenient people to recharge the power bank by varies cables in their hand.
e.g. : Multi inputs/outputs of our RSK1
Charging Speed:
We also expect fast charging so we don't wait too long! Normally we can judge the charging speed from the parameters on the covers as well, it is indicated as output: DC 5V/2A or for a QC 3.0 charger, it support 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A which means 18W fast charging. There is higher output
charger maybe in 45W/65W/100W, then it is so powerful that can charge laptops/tablets/
projectors/routers/phones etc. normally use a 18W charger can charge a phone from 0%-30% in about 0.5 hrs. some phones even can charge to 50%. Saving a lot of time for you if you have a fast charging power bank or charger.
e.g. : Charging speed testing
Battery Quality:
Choose a power bank from reputable brands who uses high-quality battery cells. this is not only related to the lifecycle of a power bank. but also safety. the power bank from UUTEK is using certified battery only with lifecycle of 300-500 times, normally after about 300 times of recharging, the battery capacity will decrease to ≈80%.
e.g. : Class A polymer battery we use
Additional Features:
Many of the portable chargers are adding more to improve the charging experiences of users. for example LED indicators, built-in cables, built-in AC plug, wireless chargers, LED torch etc. which makes the power bank become more and more convenient)
e.g. : Cords-free power bank RSQ3-A
Warranty:
Most of the manufacturers is offering warranty of 1 year for a power bank which may define as full replacement or repairing during 1 year.(UUTEK grants 1 year warranty as well, we will replace the item if it has genuine quality defects by a new one according to our RMA process). But we think the most happy thing for customer is not warranty but low defective. (defective rate controlled in-house of UUTEK is 0.3%)
